DescriptionThe magazine of the International Sheep Dog Society, International Sheepdog News, is available only to ISDS Members. It is delivered six times a year to all Ordinary and Overseas Annual Members. Your Annual Membership fee includes the magazine.
The Society was established in 1906 and is today a Registered UK Charity. You can help our work of supporting the working sheepdog by becoming a member. "The main object of the Society shall be to promote and foster throughout England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man and such other countries as may seem desirable or necessary, the breeding, training and improvement of the working sheep dog; this to secure the better management of stock by improving the shepherd's dog."
Ordinary Members (from the UK and Ireland) may: a) attend, move motions at, or otherwise take part in that member's respective National Meeting, held at the time of the National Trial in each of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland; and b) compete personally, or enter a dog, at one of the Society's National Trials, subject to the rules. Ordinary and Overseas Members may c) receive any free member documents; d) receive free admission to the Society's National and International Trials; and e) register dogs in the Society's Stud Book, according to the rules.
You may join the Society by answering a few simple questions and ordering your membership here.
The membership year runs from 01 January in each year. If you join after 15 September (but do not wish to register a dog in that year), you will be given a free continuation of membership into the following year. |
