The James Reid Years
INTRODUCTION The years 1919 to 1946 mark not only the period between the end of the two World Wars, but also the years when the International Sheep Dog Society, under the secretaryship of James Reid, grew from a small organisation with no more than 100 members to one which could truly describe itself as International. The pages on this section of the site will cover some of the achievements during the period, as well as listing as many of the sheepdog trials which took place. More detailed articles will appear from time to time in International Sheepdog News. As always, if you have additional information, please contact me at trialsdiary@isds.org.uk with details. Your input is vital to help to complete the picture. |
