International a great success

18 September 2007

A fantastic course, mostly good weather, and good but testing sheep, and of course a great Irish welcome made the 2007 International a real classic. The majority of the honours went to Wales with Aled Owen taking the Supreme title for the third time - three times, each with a different dog, equalling Gwyn Jones (Penmachno)'s record. Richard Millichap had set the pace with an excellent run earlier in the day which many spectators had expected would not be beaten. Wales also took the Team title, and the Brace (by just a single point), with Scotland triumphing in the Young Handlers' competition and the Driving.
