International SheepDog Society

The Society

Welcome to The Society

The International Sheep Dog Society is a member organisation and registers over 6,000 Border Collie pups every year on behalf of its members. The ISDS Number and Dog Certificate are a guarantee of pedigree that, for most dogs, can be traced back over 100 years.

We also organise the National Sheepdog Trials for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales that take place each Summer, along with the International (four nations) Trial.  Then, every three years, we stage the World Trials.

Become a Member

Depending on where you live, you may be able to join the International Sheep Dog Society, receive our magazine and be allowed to register Border Collies in the Society Stud Book.

Did You Know ?

The International Sheep Dog Society is also known as 'The Society' and the 'ISDS'. It keeps the old spelling of Sheep Dog as two words, although today we use sheepdog when describing the predominant type, the Border collie.

Sponsorship

Help and support is key to any voluntary organisation.  Our National and International Trials can only be staged with the work of many volunteers plus the finance of sponsoring organisations.  We welcome approaches from suitable commercial organisations  Our major Sponsor is Gilbertson & Page
